My interest in storm spotting was the primary motivation for being licensed in 2000. Little did I know that this ticket would open my eyes to a whole world of opportunities in amateur radio. Since my initial license with an HT and watching tornadoes, I now have my Amateur Extra license with HF gear, DMR radios, and friends from around the world.
I enjoy blending a couple of my hobbies together. I am a homebrewer, camper, weather enthusiast, retired paid-on-call firefighter, and amateur radio operator. It’s amazing how these individual avocations harmonize nicely.
I am a Lutheran pastor by profession. I currently serve in Portage, Wisconsin.
